Busy, Busy and Thoughts and Prayers Please :).

It’s been a busy few days here.  Friday was the MOMS Club® meeting.  It went pretty well.  I was a big surprised.  Usually it’s a little more chaotic but this time it wasn’t.  It was nice :).

Saturday I had a headache for most of the day but eventually it went away and I went to a friends house where she was hosting a craft night and I learned a little bit about scrapbooking and she and another friend gave me some stuff to use :).  I’d like to get more into it but man it can be expensive *sigh*.  It was a lot of fun!

Sunday was Church of course and the rest of the day was pretty lazy.  I went to bed late on Saturday night so I was tired most of the day Sunday.  I even took a nap and still went to bed early!  I was that tired LOL.

Today was really busy.  First I didn’t realize till last minute I had a meeting within MOMS Club® for something we are doing on April 25th.  So I had to rush to get out the door to get to that but it was nice.  I got to talk with some friends too and that’s always nice.

After that we came home and hubby went and took some Library books back for me and then we were all off to the Laundromat to do laundry.  Which is never really fun when you have a husband and two children along LOL.  Especially when said husband is in a rush ugh!

Why was hubby in a rush?  Because he wanted to get new tires put on our jeep.  He had to get there (he called them earlier) before 4:00 p.m. to get them put on and balanced and what not.  So he was a bit impatient at the Laundromat.  Sorry honey I can’t force the dryers to dry faster LOL. 

Just when I think things are not so busy something happens and we are out the door.  That’s ok though because I’d think I’d be board without all the running we do LOL.

Hubby has his job interview tomorrow.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that he can get this job.  It might start off part-time and low pay but with it being a State Job it will get better.  We will just have to tighten our belts more than we have already but I know we will get through till then.  Thanks for the support everyone :).

Boy's Singing and Cold Weather

Yesterday, at Church the boys got to sing with the adult choir for four songs!!  Dummy me forgot my camera though ugh.  We were over 1/2 way there when I realized it!  Ugh sometimes I don't know where my head is.

They did really well too!!  Jarod was on the bottom row on the left hand side and he was the second one in that line.  Then Chord being as tall as he is was in the top row (there was only 2 rows) on he was the first one all the way to the right.  They sang Silent Night, Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel, and What I want for Christmas.  I was so proud for them :)!  Now if only I had pictures *sigh*.

It's been really cold here the last few days so other than going to Church yesterday we haven't done much at all.  The roads are pretty yucky too.  The road commission I guess (just like most of Michigan) is cutting down on things like only salting and scrapping main roads and no over time.  So the roads are awful!  Thankfully we have the jeep which is a part time 4x4. 

It's been so bad that Harlow has even had to get one of our neighbors cars unstuck in our own driveway (we share the same driveway) a few times.  Thankfully they have our number they  ever need to get pulled out!

Tomorrow I have to go to the Laundromat to do laundry so hubby said he would drive me (the boys too of course LOL) there.  Which I am glad because I really don't like driving in this mess.  I have driven in snow before but this is a lot of snow and ice!  Anyone out there need any ice or snow? LOL.  I would be too happy to ship those out along with the cold LOL.  I am so not a winter person!  How about you?

Feeling Better

I still have the boys cold that they gave me(aren't they so sweet to share ugh).  Only I seemed to have gotten it worse then they did.  How come when they had it, it was just sniffles with a little  bit of a cough?  They were still able to function and still enjoy the day.

Me not so much.  It all started the morning of Thanksgiving (So thankful for my boys for this. You do know I am being sarcastic right? LOL) morning when I woke up.  At first it was just the sniffles but as the day wore on it totally wore me out.  Especially since we were at our Pastors house eating and just enjoying everyone's company.  It was nice but man was I beat when we got home (more so than I would have been had I felt better.)

The next day as I have said was at my bil and sil's home to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Again I didn't feel all that well but I made it through that but again was exhausted when we came home.

Saturday we didn't go any where which was good because I felt pretty yucky and Sunday I made it to church but still felt really bad.

Today I  am thankfully feeling better but not 100% and of course tomorrow is off to the Laundromat to do laundry.  I would love to just be able to take a week off to recuperate from Thanksgiving LOL. 

I just don't get why I seemed more effected by this illness then the boys did?  Man I want their immune systems LOL.  Don't worry I haven't sneezed or coughed on this blog and my hands have been washed so I shouldn't be able to pass it to you LOL.  Sure I like to share but I will try and keep this illness from anyone else LOL.  I hope every one had a good day.

Laundry, Bunk Beds and Stress

Not much going on today.  Hubby went with us today to the Laundromat because he had to go to Michigan Works to update a few things so he can get his extension on Unemployment. 

While I was folding laundry he helped with school work by having Jarod read to him.  Jarod did really well.  He's really coming along in his reading.

When we got home we finished up school work and cleaned the boy's top bunk.  See we don't have a lot of room and the boys don't have a closet in their room.  So some of their big "Star War" ships were up there.  The boys have shared the bottom bunk for a while now.  Even when it wasn't all full of stuff they liked to sleep in the same bad. 

Hubby bought an extra bin to put at least most of them in and the rest on top of them (these are big ships.  Got them on E-bay :) ).  So now they have the top bunk again.  They were really excited about it now though.  I think they are getting older and need their own space.  I am glad we cleaned it up for them. 

Jarod is now sleeping on the top (he really wanted to LOL) and Chord is sleeping on the bottom bunk (Which he prefers anyway).  Besides they are both getting to big to share one twin sized bunk LOL.  Nice to have a little more room too I think.

Friday is the MOMS Club® Membership Meeting so once again I am having to get the Newsletter ready for print.  We are still working on it but this month I am not getting stressed out about it.  I figure I am doing what I am supposed to be doing.  So if it doesn't get done they can't really blame me for it :P.  I am learning not to stress the small stuff (really trying anyway LOL). 

So how about you?  Do you get stressed easily? (Oh I sure can on certain things). What is something that really stresses you out? What do you do to chill out? LOL.  I was just curious to see if I am alone or not LOL.

Don't have anything much to blog about. Had a pretty laid back weekend. Still trying not to use too much gas. The place we went to this weekend was Church. Oh and hubby went with his friend to Musicians Friend so he (his friend) could pick something up. That was about it for us. Today was much the same. Only difference is we did schooling LOL.

Tomorrow I am going to a Pot Luck within the MOMS Club®. It's a Mexican themed and we all get to bring one ingredient to it. Which is good for me because I am really awful on knowing what to bring or make for a pot luck LOL. This time I am bringing the shredded cheese LOL. So it should be a good time.

The rest of the week we aren't doing anything till Friday. That's when (if weather permits) hubby drops us off at my friends house (she homeschool's too) and then we head for the Zoo. We got a membership before hubby was laid off so as long as we pack our lunches we won't have to pay for anything :).

Tomorrow is also laundry day so I am going to go to the Laundromat (with boys and their school work) head to the store for a couple things and then to the Pot Luck. Then on Thursday we will probably do a bit of grocery shopping. So that is our week planned out. Pretty boring huh? LOL. How was your weekend?

Busy, Busy (So what's new LOL)

Today has been one busy day.  Woke-up at my new 6:00 A.M. time and did my exercises (after a couple cups of coffee of course LOL).  Then the boys got up and I fed them breakfast.  Afterwards I got stuff ready and we did some school work. 

Then it was off to the MOMS Club® Membership Meeting.  It ended up being a long meeting because we had a vote on some money issues.  Any time there is money issues you can guarantee it's going to be a long meeting.  Then afterwards some of the other board members and I talked.  Hopefully things will run smoothly in a few months.  We are all new to the board so we are working out the kinks LOL.

After the meeting we came home had lunch and finished some school work.  So after that I had to type up minutes from the meeting and send out a few emails on different things (sign-up sheets to the right coordinator's).  Then of course after all that it was dinner time. 

Tomorrow is Laundry day so I will be up and having to run again tomorrow.  I will take some school work with us to the Laundromat so the boys can do that while I do laundry. 

Wednesday nothing planned (yeah!!) but then on Thursday morning a mom from the MOMS Club® is going to pick the boys and I up and we are going to the Zoo.  I wouldn't have gone because of gas prices but she offered to come pick us up.  So glad we  have a membership though.  That's one less expense and I will just pack the boys and I a lunch. Then on Friday nothing but grocery shopping planned.  All in all this will be a busy week.  I hope everyone had a good Monday :).

Not much going on today. Went to go to the Laundromat but as we turned in we saw firetrucks and police and amulances pull into the outlit mall it is at. Seems like the nail place a few doors down caught fire. So we had to go to a different Laundromat. Wasn't too bad and not a lot of people were there so I was able to get it done quick enough. I had the boys do some school work while we were there. Mostly just reading and me readint to them. They also worked on some math flash cards.



Jarod is doing much better in math now. I have been working with him for a few days now on the flash cards. He seems to be getting math now. I pray it continues. He just learns differently than Chord and I have to find different ways to teach him :). He's a smart cookie but needs a lot of visual and hands on things to learn.



That was about all that happened today. I hope everyone is having a good week.

Ugh another humid day. Add to that we had a bit of some drama with our new neighbors. It's been something since they moved in. I won't get into details but it's been pretty much a respect issue and well there is no respect at all of anything. I pray that things will be resolved and we can live peaceably. I hate having conflict with neighbors. At least we have the other one we have always gotten along with.

Not much else going on today. It was laundry day LOL. It got done pretty quickly. I know when winter comes we have a lot more laundry. It always seems to happen that way LOL. Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Just seems too hot to think of anything LOL. One of these days I will post more though LOL. Hope everyone had a good day.

I finally got to the Kitchen and it is cleaned!! Yeah!! So now all I really have left to do is my side of our bedroom. It's mostly just organizing a little and vacuuming but that's no problem so I will get to it sometime LOL. Amazingly the rest of the house has stayed pretty decent. I'll probably have the boy's pick up their room again but that's not much either just a bit on their floor.

While I was cleaning Harlow took the boy's along with his cousin to a pond where they got to go on a Jet Ski with Harlow's cousin. I really wish they would have gotten pics but they didn't have a camera (darn it all). Harlow said the boy's had a blast!! They didn't even want to come home and they didn't get home till after 8:30 P.M. LOL!! I am glad they had a good time and had a "boy's night out!" LOL .

Other than that I just went to the Laundromat and did laundry (before cleaning the kitchen and before the "boy's night out."). Chord went with me because he said he wanted to just hang out with me. So we hung out LOL. Jarod stayed home with Harlow. So it was a good day. Not too exciting but a good day non the less.

Tomorrow is my first "board meeting" with the MOMS Club as and official Secretary now LOL. That's not till 6:30 P.M. though so at least I don't have to rush around in the morning. Harlow will be home with the boy's. We will be discussing next months calendar and other club things I am sure LOL. Thursday and Friday I don't have anything planned and no cleaning yeah! LOL. So I will probably just relax but who knows what will happen. I hope everyone had a good day!!

Today I went to the Laundromat to do laundry. I went to Big Lots after I loaded the washing machines (it's within walking distance) and looked for some Sharpies for hubby but there wasn't any there. So I had to stop off at Meijer after I finished laundry and pick some up for him. Who knew that could be such a hassle lol.

After I got home hubby was outside taking a part a wheel chair ramp. See our old neighbors next door had a child that used a wheel chair so they built a ramp in our part of the yard (we agreed of course :D) so she could get on the bus. Well the moved out a few months back but left the ramp. So I helped hubby tear it down (it already had a hole in it so it really did need to come down). I even used the power drill to take some screws out LOL. Harlow said hmm I've never seen you use a power tool before that's sexy LOL!! Let me tell you though taking that thing down was hard work. My muscles are sore from doing it. I guess that was my work out for today LOL. That's ok though I didn't mind helping anyway. To be honest I would rather do that kind of work than house work any day LOL. Yes I know I am odd LOL. You have to remember I have always been a tomboy at heart LOL. Not much going on today. It was a nice day out so the boy's were outside much of the day. I just stayed home (I know amazing huh? LOL) and relaxed. Just got laundry around for tomorrows laundry day LOL. I am going to go early to meet a MOMS Club mom because I have to give her some money for the the end of year banquet we are going to have on the 21st of June. It's the anniversary for when that chapter of MOMS Club started (MOMS Club is an international club). It's a formal occasion so I am going to have to find a dress. Which is hard to find one that I like and one that is my size :(. Wish me luck on that one. I hope everyone is having a good day.

The weekend was good. Saturday we ended up going to a Trading Center about a 40 min. drive from here. The boy's got some die cast cars and hubby got a couple of things. I didn't get anything but then again I just don't enjoy spending money LOL. I don't know why but I have always been like that. Even when I was younger I never begged my parents for the "cool" clothes or the "in thing". Nope I liked the cheaper stuff better. My mom used to even try to get me to want the more expensive things but I just didn't care for them. My dad and also my dad's mom was like that too so I must take after them. I just don't know why I am like that. I don't think it's necessarily because I am cheap LOL. I just really don't like spending money on me. I love getting other people things. Especially if it's something I know they will like. I guess I am just odd LOL.

Anyway Sunday we went to church and then the rest of the day was spend at home. That was a nice break after all the running we did during the week. It was nice just to be lazy LOL.

Today was the monthly MOMS Club meeting. No one else is running for Secretary except me so I will be having that position once the elections are over LOL. This will mean I will have to get rid of some of the other things I do like Create and Play maybe the Science Club, Nursery coordinator and making the name tags LOL. Wow I don't think I realized how much I do till I typed it all out LOL. I love being a part of the club though. I have made a lot of good friends through it and I know the boy's love doing the things they have going and also have made a lot of good friends.

Tomorrow is laundry day. But other than that no plans. I am hoping for another do nothing much day LOL. I don't feel like I recuperated from last week LOL. But who knows what tomorrow will bring. How was every one's weekend?

Been busy these last two day's. Yesterday was a MOMS Club meeting. We are going to go into another election. I am thinking of running as Secretary but not sure just yet. My one friend said she would nominate me LOL. Don't know if I need more to do or what LOL. I guess I just like to keep busy. After the meeting we came home and had lunch and I ran to the Library to pick-up a few books and came home. The rest of the was picking-up house some and then getting clothes all sorted for laundry day.

Today was laundry day so it was off to the Laundromat. The boy's did their school work there. One elderly lady there noticed I was a homeschooling mom and she asked if I schooled them all day and I said not really because they finish in less time than traditional schools. She didn't seem to impressed LOL. Oh well I know what my children know and how well they are doing. I really don't need anyones approval. All though two other older women (not elderly just older) were asking me questions about it and were very supportive of homeschooling. So I guess that made up for it. Besides I really don't get bad comments about it and I have learned even if I do not to worry about it because they don't know what homeschooling is really about and how well my children are doing.

Tomorrow I don't have any plans. Not sure if we are doing anything Thursday either but that really depends on how board Harlow gets being home LOL. He is not liking having no job. He would never make a good couch potato LOL. He is looking into going to school because a program that his job had gotten approved for will pay for schooling for in demand jobs. He's not sure exactly what he wants to get into but he's looking into things. I know God will get us through this difficult time though.

Friday we are going to my bil and sil's house for dinner but before that I am going to be babysitting my niece. I haven't seen her in a while so it will be nice. She will be two years old on April 11! I can't believe how fast that went!

So I have a surprise, surprise I have a busy week LOL. At least I feel so much better though then I have in a week! I don't know exactly what it was but it sure took me down. After going all winter without getting sick I get sick badly ugh! I hope everyone has a great week!!

Today was laundry day but today hubby went with us (well drove us) because he wasn't sure about how the roads were. They weren't too bad but it was nice to have him around. After the boy's had finished their school work there hubby took them with him to go to Big Lots to pick up a few things. They love hanging out with Dad LOL.

On our way home the roads were a little more snow covered than it was on the way there. I probably could have drove in it but it was nice having him there with us and he helped with school work while I was dealing with laundry LOL.

After we got home I played a card game (5 state rummy) with Chord because he wanted to play a game with me. I won one hand and he won the next LOL. It was a good time. Jarod was off doing his own thing. Sometimes he likes to be on his own which is a good thing. I am glad neither of my kids always need someone to entertain them. They both sometimes just like being on their own. They love playing with each other of course but sometimes they like their own time.

I had the boy's sign their Valentines Day cards for tomorrow's party. Hubby is dropping us off at a friend of mines (a homeschool mom like me) and we are all going to a homeschool Valentines Day party. The boy's are excited to see their friend. It should be fun.

Other than that not much going on today. Which can be a good thing LOL. You think I am a busy person you should see my friend (the one mentioned above) she is busier than I ever could be LOL. She likes it that way though. I on the other hand need a day or two break between everything LOL. Hope everyone had a good day.

Not too much to report today. I am in a better mood than I was yesterday though LOL. So that's good anyway. Why does it seem like Winter lasts forever? Anyway today was good ol' Laundry Day. Not many people were there. In fact when we first arrived no one was there till just about when our laundry was about done in the washer. Even afterwards there were only a few people there. That's ok though because it made the boy's doing their school work go that much faster and less distractions.

After we got back I had to run to the Library to take back some books and to pick-up a book for Create and Play on Thursday. So I am finally all set for that. Create and play is a week early this month because so much other stuff is being done within the MOMS Club. Next month will be back to normal I hope LOL.

I loved watching the boy's play today. They decided that in their little world they would have a bank and a store LOL. They had boxes set up like counters and everything LOL. It was just too cute!! I have a couple entrepreneurs LOL. It was just too cute to watch.

Tomorrow I have to take Jarod in for his check-up. That's at 10:45 a.m. The only thing Jarod doesn't like about it is getting his blood pressure taken LOL. Why I don't know but we shall see how it goes. He's all caught up in shots I believe so hopefully he won't need to get any. I really hate when they have to get them. probably as much if not more than they do. I believe he is all caught up though. So how was your day?

Well, today we didn't go any where which is a good thing I think. I need a day or two during the week to just chill. Today I have felt a little agitated though. I don't know if it's hormonal or what. I just feel agitated. I know this will pass. I really do think it's hormonal though. Ever have those days?

Other than feeling agitated it was an ok day. I took lesson's with the boys a little easier so I wouldn't be agitated with them. But all in all it went well. Boy's are doing really well!!

Tomorrow is laundry day so we will go to the Laundromat and do our schooling there. Then I have to go to the Library to pick up some books for Create and Play on Thursday. I was supposed to go today but hubby had to do a few things and I forgot about it so I will have to do that tomorrow.

Thursday is Create and Play with MOMS Club and then Friday and the weekend are free. We shall see what we do then though. Never know what we are going to do on the weekend till it comes.

Not a very interesting day today but sometimes that is a good thing for me LOL. On a good note I haven't been overloading myself with things to do. I might have something planned for each week but I have it written down and scheduled so as not to over do myself. So my agitated mood today isn't because I am over doing it LOL. I just drank some drank some Celestial Seasonings Decaf Honey Chamomile, Green Tea and that made me feel more relaxed and at easy. So I do feel better now. I might go to bed earlier too that might help too. I hope everyone had a good day!!

Yesterday the boy's asked for today off after my mom had said she was off work for Martin Luther King Jr Day. So I decided to go ahead and let them have the day off. I did tell them a little bit about Martin Luther King Jr. Next month we will do more on him and other's for Black History Month. I want them to know more than just about the more famous Black American people. So much happened both before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and after. I don't want them to know bits and pieces I want them to know as much as they can learn about many different people of many different races. That is yet another reason I love homeschooling the boy's. We can take the time to really learn about any given subject and get the most out of it and not worrying about getting to the next lesson or running out of time. I pray they will not only learn but love learning about new things no matter what the subject is.

Tomorrow was supposed to be Laundry day but there is a water emergency for the areas near here because of the cold weather the water is freezing. I could go to the town close by but it's so much more expensive to go there and I really don't like their machines. So hopefully I will be able to go to our normal place on Wednesday or if not I will have to just make it to that other town and hope for the best LOL. I hope everyone is staying warm!!

My Babblings

This weekend I didn't feel all that well. I didn't get the bug the boy's had but I just didn't feel well. I haven't felt well actually in a week but thankfully today I feel much better. Better than I have for a week anyway.

Today was a good day. It was busy too. Woke-up and got the boy's around and we had breakfast and got them around and we did some schooling and then it was off to the monthly Bible Study group we have that is one part of the MOMS Club that I am in. I so look forward to this each month because not only is it a great time to get together with my friends but I love sharing the Word with other women as well. I always feel at peace afterwards and refreshed.

After Bible study I came home and did the rest of schooling with the boy's and then spent some time with them. So I guess today wasn't too terribly busy but a little more so then usual. My friend was supposed to come by today too but she isn't feeling well either so she couldn't make it. That's ok though because it made me a little less busy than I would have.

Tomorrow is good old laundry day so it's off to the Laundromat. I got some of the boy's work packed in a backpack so they can do stuff there. This way we are not having to wait till we are done with laundry to do school work. They also keep busy doing it like this. My boy's seem to do better in the morning hours to do school rather than later in the day or night. I am the same way too though. That's one think I really do love about homeschooling because I can choose when to do it with the boy's. When I know they are at their optimum and that could be at any time during the day. My boy's tend to learn better in the morning hours. Who knows that might change as they get older. Ok I know this post was a lot of babble so please forgive me LOL.

First Day Back to Homeschool and Laundry

Well, today we started back to school. It went really smoothly. I thought since we had that long Christmas break that it would be a bit difficult but it went great! I guess I forget that it's not like public school where I used to dread having to go back to school after a long break. The boy's at first said they weren't looking forward to it but they had fun today.

Afterwards the boy's decided they wanted to make lemonade. I had some lemons so we made some. I have never really made homemade lemonade but we did it LOL. Was pretty good too. The boy's enjoyed helping to make it.

After making and drinking our lemonade we played with Legos. I so forgot how fun it is to play with them LOL. So we built all sorts of stuff. I just kind of put Legos together and whatever came of it just happened. Of course being the Star Wars fans they are they decided that whatever I had built it was something Star Wars LOL. So I went along with them. It was so much fun.

Tomorrow is Laundry day. I have everything packed and ready to go for that. I will get up with the boy's and feed them their breakfast and of course we all get dressed and we are off to do laundry. The boy's will do a lot of their school work there (helps keep them occupied anyway LOL) and finish what is left at home. So we shall see how day two will go. Today was a really good day and I am blessed. How was your day?

Random Ramblings

We had a good weekend. Saturday I went grocery shopping and then we went to hubby's brothers and his wife's house. They are expecting baby number three. It was nice to relax with family. We also went because the boy's wanted to see the Parana's that they have and watch them feed on some goldfish. It took them a while to eat any so the boy's got board and started playing with their little cousins. The boy's are the oldest out of all their cousins but that's because both hubby and I are the oldest in our families. Our boy's are seven (will be eight in March) and five (will be six in January). Hubby's first younger brother's (the one we visited) has a soon to be three year old girl (will be in Dec.) and then he has a son that is a year and a half years old and then he has another son on the way. Hubby's other brother has a three year old girl and one that is almost a year old I believe. Don't know exactly because they don't try and keep in contact with any of the family (that is a long story for another day).

Sunday we went to Church and came home afterwards. I cleaned up the house some and then we just chilled the rest of the day pretty much. We watched the movie Transformers. It was an alright movie. It wasn't terrible but it won't be a favorite of mine. The boy's enjoyed it though. It was nice to just be together as a family though.

Today I watched my niece for a little while (my brothers little girl she will be 2 in April) but she started to really be congested so I called my brother and let him know and he got off work and picked her up. I guess it's the croup that she has. She had it last year and has it again this year. The poor girl sounded awful. I felt so bad for her. When my brother first brought her over she seemed fine with only a little cold but when I went to put her down for a nap she started to wheeze and woke herself up. So I am glad my brother came and got her.

I have decided to give the boy's a week off school for Thanksgiving this week. They have been doing really well and are ahead in their work anyway. I will have them read some this week but no "formal" schooling. They were happy to hear that LOL. I will probably do some art's and craft's with them too.

Tomorrow is good old laundry day. So it's off to the Laundromat to do that. Then come home and clean up the house some more I suppose. Other than that I don't have any real plans. The day after Thanksgiving we are going to my bil and sil's house for a Thanksgiving dinner and then sometime later in the week my mom is going to have a Thanksgiving dinner for the family too. Other than that don't really have much planned at the moment but we shall see how that goes. Hope everyone had a good weekend.
