This, That and Happy New Year
Tomorrow we are off to Church which I always enjoy going to and so do the boy's and hubby too. I just love being in the house of the Lord. I always feel as if I am coming home when we go. I love how even though it's a bigger church everyone knows who you are and always willing to talk and welcome you when you come. Before finding our church I had been to others that never felt like that but then again that was before I was saved or really understood just what Jesus did for us.
New Years Eve we are going to a friend of hubby's house with the boy's We have been to their house on previous New Years Eve parties abut last year we had just stayed home. It's a long drive but I think we will all have a good time. I know we won't stay there to ring in the New year though because we will have the boy's with us and I don't think they could stay up that late if they tried LOL. It will be nice to be with friends though.
For Jarod's and Harlow's birthday we will just have some cake and ice cream at home. My mom will probably come over and my dad will probably send him some money for his birthday. We already gave him his Birthday present from us. He loves having the same birthday as his dad. It will just be a nice relaxing family day.
So what is every ones plans for the New Year? Anything special or just staying home and having a family day? If I don't get to post till after the new year I just want to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!! May this be a wonderful year for you!

Random Ramblings
We had a good weekend. Saturday I went grocery shopping and then we went to hubby's brothers and his wife's house. They are expecting baby number three. It was nice to relax with family. We also went because the boy's wanted to see the Parana's that they have and watch them feed on some goldfish. It took them a while to eat any so the boy's got board and started playing with their little cousins. The boy's are the oldest out of all their cousins but that's because both hubby and I are the oldest in our families. Our boy's are seven (will be eight in March) and five (will be six in January). Hubby's first younger brother's (the one we visited) has a soon to be three year old girl (will be in Dec.) and then he has a son that is a year and a half years old and then he has another son on the way. Hubby's other brother has a three year old girl and one that is almost a year old I believe. Don't know exactly because they don't try and keep in contact with any of the family (that is a long story for another day).
Sunday we went to Church and came home afterwards. I cleaned up the house some and then we just chilled the rest of the day pretty much. We watched the movie Transformers. It was an alright movie. It wasn't terrible but it won't be a favorite of mine. The boy's enjoyed it though. It was nice to just be together as a family though.
Today I watched my niece for a little while (my brothers little girl she will be 2 in April) but she started to really be congested so I called my brother and let him know and he got off work and picked her up. I guess it's the croup that she has. She had it last year and has it again this year. The poor girl sounded awful. I felt so bad for her. When my brother first brought her over she seemed fine with only a little cold but when I went to put her down for a nap she started to wheeze and woke herself up. So I am glad my brother came and got her.
I have decided to give the boy's a week off school for Thanksgiving this week. They have been doing really well and are ahead in their work anyway. I will have them read some this week but no "formal" schooling. They were happy to hear that LOL. I will probably do some art's and craft's with them too.
Tomorrow is good old laundry day. So it's off to the Laundromat to do that. Then come home and clean up the house some more I suppose. Other than that I don't have any real plans. The day after Thanksgiving we are going to my bil and sil's house for a Thanksgiving dinner and then sometime later in the week my mom is going to have a Thanksgiving dinner for the family too. Other than that don't really have much planned at the moment but we shall see how that goes. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

What’s Been Going on Here
I know I haven't posted a blog since Monday but things have been busy here. First going back to this past Wednesday night hubby started not feeling well. Thursday he ended up coming home early because he was really not feeling well and called off on Friday and I went grocery shopping. Through the weekend hubby still didn't feel well but Saturday we went to my SIL's for dinner. The boy's had a good time and hubby did his best to enjoy himself though he didn't feel good at all. Then Sunday he stayed home and the boy's and I went to my mom's house so he could rest peacefully.
Monday hubby called off work again because he was still ill and then called and made a doctor's appointment. They said he had a stomach virus and couldn't do much about it. He got a note for returning to work on Wednesday. Also on Monday I as I told you in Monday's post that I went to a Bible Study with the MOMS Club®. I also did a lot of errands and cleaned house along with schooling the boy's.
Tuesday I did my normal thing of going to the Laundromat to do laundry only this time I didn't take the boy's because they said they weren't feeling too well either. Thank the good Lord though because they didn't get the virus their dad had. I guess they just felt blah so we didn't do school that day. I'm just so glad that they didn't get hubby's virus though.
Yesterday we got schooling all out of the way and went to the Library where I got a few books they will need for some of their school work and they picked out some books to read and then we went to the park next to the Library. The boy's had fun playing at the park and later a little girl came and played with them as well. It warms my heart to see how well they play with other children. They don't care what age or sex you are. If you are willing to play with them then they are willing to let you play with them LOL. This little girl had to been about four years old and my two are five (will be six in Jan.) and seven (will be eight in March) and they played wonderfully with her. So we stayed there for a while and came home. Yesterday I also did more cleaning on the house that I don't get to very often.
So that is what I have been up to and just haven't had the time or energy to post LOL. This is already my second post of today so I guess I am catching up some LOL. I hope no one else's family has been sick like ours. I really don't like this time of year because it doesn't take much to get sick. I guess it will be a little better in the winter months because at least then the temps will be a little more stable. Ahh living in Michigan and it's ever changing weather LOL.

Ramdom thoughts
I don't know why I am blogging about this now since it was about a month ago when this happened LOL. I guess I just started thinking about it. Maybe I do take for granted how well the boy's behave? I mean don't get me wrong they do act up. Like last night they wouldn't go to bed like they were supposed to LOL. I was a bit irritated with them to say the least. They also do fight with each other but not as often as I remember fighting with my younger brother. I don't know if this is because my brother and I were six years apart(me being the oldest) or if it's because the boy's are homeschooled and are together and so close to each other in age and each other's best friends or what.
Whatever the reason for them being so well behaved I know we are blessed to have such wonderful boy's! I hope they grow up to be well adjusted men and hubby and I have taught them everything they need to be in the world without being "of the world". I am grateful to God that he has given us the boy's to help us grow-up (trust me I was totally different than I am now before we had kids). I only hope to do His will to help these boy's to grow up well.
