Very Cold and Future

Thought I should change my layout a bit.  This is what it seems like it is here in Michigan LOL.  Granted there is no mountains here but it is very cold and snowy here. This year has been a lot of snow.  I haven't seen this much snow here in a long time. 

All though the snow is pretty.  Especially when it's fresh untouched snow I still don't like the cold!  It's really cold!  If I could I would just hibernate till Spring LOL.

With the weather being cold we haven't been outside too much unless we have too.  Poor boys.  I know they want to go out and play in all that snow but it is just too bitterly cold.  Tomorrow is supposed to be even colder!  With the wind chills it's supposed to be like 25 degrees below freezing!

Hubby is getting into a routine of going to school now.  He is feeling a lot better about things but please keep him in your prayers.  Pray for all of us that he can find a job after the schooling.

He's going to get the State certificate to be a diesel mechanic.  From what we have heard from a few people it's an in demand job.  So hopefully after a year it will still be in demand and hubby can find a job.  It's been a long year of him being without work. 

While it's been nice having him home the uncertainty of things can be a bit stressful.   Granted we know God provides and has through these time it is still a bit scary.

With hubby going to school and his schedule  and homeschooling the boys it is about impossible for me to even think of even getting a part-time job. 

Even with all that though I am thinking positive.  After all God had really provided for us thus far.  Every time I don't know how we are going to get through I pray and we get through it.  Some way or another we get through.  So even though I am uncertain of what the future holds and am a little scared I know we will some how get through it all.  Not sure how or what way it will lead us but I do know we will get through.

Not much going on today.  Did school work with the boys and then had to go to the Library to drop off and pick-up a few more books. 

Chord is really going through the books he gets from the Library.  He is really enjoying the Magic Tree House series.  He likes to read them out loud to Jarod and I.  It really has amazed me on how well he reads!  He also really understands what he is reading.  Maybe I need to look into a harder series for him.  But he is enjoying it now so I don't want to interfere :).

Jarod is really starting to learn to read well too.  He's doing much better than he was when we started in Aug. already!  I think he might be following his brothers footsteps.  I really thought he would have a harder time of it because he doesn't like to sit still long LOL.  But he loves learning to read! 

Everything else they are doing well in too.  Jarod is really starting to pick up his math and Chord is doing well in it as always.  Though it's no longer his favorite subject LOL.

Yesterday Jarod was just too funny. Hubby and I were talking about something (I forget what now LOL) and he called me young lady. Jarod pipped up and said ,"She's not young!!" (me with my mouth hanging open LOL) Harlow: "Should I call her old lady?" Jarod: "No she's not old either." Harlow: "Then what should I call her?" Jarod: " She's a WOMAN!!" LOL so I am neither young nor old. I am a WOMAN!! So remember it LOL!!!

Today was a busy day. I had a board meeting with the MOMS Club®. It was a long meeting and then I had to come home and get the minutes and Calendar for next month all typed up and sent. That with everyday things made it a busy day.

Hubby has decided to go to school for a state certificate to be a diesel mechanic. He will be taking the placement test next Wednesday at nine a.m. So keep him in your prayers that he does well. Then he will take the classes he needs for about a year and then hopefully get a job. Once he's in the job for a while he might go back to school for the degree but we shall see how it all goes. I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Well today we started schooling officially I think LOL. We have been doing work on and off through the summer. Now I am hoping to keep things going from here on out. Tomorrow we will do a little bit of schooling because they have a play date with their friend. The one that got canceled before. They have been really looking forward to it so I don't want to have them too much work. I know since we are starting early anyway (and have done some already) they won't be behind.

Tomorrow I have to laundry as well. So I will have to get up a bit early and get to the Laundromat get that done and then come home put the clothes in the house (some of the shirts will still be wet because they can't be dried) and then get the boys around and out to their friends house. It should be a good time. For boys and for me since the mom is my friend too LOL.
