Got my ticket paid for the formal gathering on the 21st with the MOMS Club. Now I have to find a dress. I really hate shopping for nice clothes. Then I have to look at how much I weight and look. It's just not fun for me. I hope I can find a dress that suits me well enough. We will hopefully get our incentive check on the 6th and I will look again for a dress.

It's just so hard to find a nice dress for bigger women. A lot of stuff is floral, printed, or strapless or spaghetti strap or since it's spring/summer pastel colors. I don't like floral or printed things and with my big arms strapless and spaghetti straps are a BIG NO NO LOL. Last but not least pastel colors tend to wash me out. Light colors are ok but dark colors look best on me. So it's really hard to find a nice dress that doesn't look horrible on me.

I tell you in times like this I wish I knew how to sew LOL. I would make my own dress :P. I was never any good at sewing though. *Sigh* At least I have a little time to keep looking though. Wish me luck!

I am still doing my Shimmy DVD's for exercise (belly dancing). I had been kind of slacking off on it but I picked it back up and have been doing well on it. At least it's giving me some energy I haven't had. Don't really know about losing weight though. I will just have to keep at it and not give up. Help me to keep motivated please LOL. New Exercise for Me.

Today wasn't too busy. We just went to the Laundromat to do laundry. Harlow went with us this time. He even helped the boy's do their school work while I did the laundry.

My body is so sore LOL. Harlow got me this DVD series that's on Fit TV usually. It's called Shimmy. It's belly dancing. Now this isn't something I would do in front of others except hubby and family of course LOL but it's a real work out and it's fun too. I probably look like a clumsy oaf doing it LOL but it's fun all the same. I tell you it's working out muscles I didn't know existed LOL. This is an exercise I think I will stick to better because it's fun for me even though it truly is a workout. I like the moves to it too. You use a lot of your leg and core area muscles. All of which are my trouble areas. Then again I need to lose a lot of weight so it all is a trouble area LOL.

I really want to keep this up. I want to be healthier too. I need to eat healthier I know but this is to start with. I have now been doing this belly dancing for three weeks. There have been some day's I didn't do it because of time or because I was just too sore LOL. But I look forward to doing it. I don't dread it like most exercise. I am not looking to be super skinny. I just want to be healthy and be able to do more things. Are you trying anything new?
