Got my ticket paid for the formal gathering on the 21st with the MOMS Club. Now I have to find a dress. I really hate shopping for nice clothes. Then I have to look at how much I weight and look. It's just not fun for me. I hope I can find a dress that suits me well enough. We will hopefully get our incentive check on the 6th and I will look again for a dress.

It's just so hard to find a nice dress for bigger women. A lot of stuff is floral, printed, or strapless or spaghetti strap or since it's spring/summer pastel colors. I don't like floral or printed things and with my big arms strapless and spaghetti straps are a BIG NO NO LOL. Last but not least pastel colors tend to wash me out. Light colors are ok but dark colors look best on me. So it's really hard to find a nice dress that doesn't look horrible on me.

I tell you in times like this I wish I knew how to sew LOL. I would make my own dress :P. I was never any good at sewing though. *Sigh* At least I have a little time to keep looking though. Wish me luck!

I am still doing my Shimmy DVD's for exercise (belly dancing). I had been kind of slacking off on it but I picked it back up and have been doing well on it. At least it's giving me some energy I haven't had. Don't really know about losing weight though. I will just have to keep at it and not give up. Help me to keep motivated please LOL. I have thought about those dvd's they look like fun. well as fun as excercise can be..lol

I have a belly dance dvd lol, oh i hear you on clothes shopping it sucks. I hate doing it cause nothing looks right and I swear those freakin mirrors in the rooms are rigged to make you look bigger too

Clothes shopping is bad.
About self image... well, my husband had a few stern words with me today, saying I have to get over this self loathing.
I haven't been able to get myself back into shape after number 3 yet. I seem to be piling on the pounds now. I lost a few, was nearly down where I wanted to be, and then, well, I started eating more again!

I'm going to try exercising again, even just 3 times a week, or even just get on that stepper while my husband watches tv. That may be the solution to my tiredness and my lack of tone.

You will find something nice. I'm sure. Can you wear a nice skirt and a shirt?

And DO take a friend shopping. Don't try to go clothes shopping on your own. Someone who will suggest things for you, tell you honestly how you look, and help you to see how gorgeous you look in something that suits you!
