Chores and the Zoo

Not much going on today. The boys and I did some school work an then we cleaned the house. I have a new system for chores LOL. I take a piece of paper and write down different chores that need to be done. I try to make it even. We each (including me) get 2-3 chores to do. So I put all the paper in a hat and we each draw 2-3 and see which ones we get. The boys seem to love this so I guess I will do this for a while to get them motivated to keep this house clean LOL. For some reason though I still always get dishes LOL. Today Jarod got dishes with me (I had dishes down twice so 2 people would have to do them.). Which is ok since he loves to help with dishes. Though I suspect it has more to do with playing with the bubbles (he likes to make a beard and mustache with them LOL.) then actually rinsing and drying the dishes LOL. So we shall see how long this lasts.

Tomorrow the boys and I are going to the Zoo with another homeschool family. I don't have batteries for my camera so I won't be bringing that but truly how many pictures do I really need of the Zoo? Hubby is going to drive us to our friends house and drop us off and she is going to drive us there. The boys will be happy to see their friend. Seems like forever since we have seen them because of both of our busy schedules. Other than that not much going on. I hope everyone is having a good day.

I keep telling myself that I have enough pictures from the zoo, but it doesn't stop me from taking more. *lol* ... The one time I didn't take the camera, I was LOST without it. *lol*

If I could, I would go to the zoo with you. The animals amaze me. How God created them to make them who they are. I love to watch the deer, squirrels and birds in our yard. I just wish the skunks would stay away! Phew!

I love the way you distribute chores!
I think I'll write that one down for when mine can read.

Any ideas how I can get my boys motivated to start helping me at home? They are almost 5 and 3. One year old Ariel will help by undoing the job....
