Bible Study

Today was a good day. I went to the MOMS Club Bible Study. We have been reading the book by Charles Stanley Becoming Emotionally Whole . We finished up the last two chapters today. It was a very good book. It helps you to understand your emotions and that they aren't necessarily bad to have them. It depends on how you deal with them that can make them bad. It was a good read!

Next month we will be starting a new book. This one by Joel Osteen, Becoming a Better You . I am looking forward to it. I always look forward to going to these Bible Studies with the MOMS Club. There really is something about getting together with other Christian women and talking about the Word of God and doing studies. I love going to church too but for some reason getting together with these Godly women really does something for me. It brings a peace over me and I seem to fill up spiritually even more. Even when there are kids all around us of varying ages and many interruptions because of this or that (motherly things LOL) it still is such a joy.

The boy's didn't go with me this time so that was nice too LOL. The other mom's children were there of course but it was still nice. Not that my boy's would be a handful or anything but sometimes it nice to just be me and not mom and wife sometimes. Not all the time of course but every once in a while it's nice.

After Bible Study it was off to the grocery store. This is why the boy's didn't go with me to the Bible Study LOL. They didn't want to go to the grocery store LOL. So I got that all done and came home.

Now I am just here relaxing blogging and afterwards I will be blog hopping LOL. So all in all today was a good day!!! I hope everyone else had a good day!

Jody, I'd love to read that book. My brother and her girlfriend read it, and they both say it was great. They also went to some Bible studies about it at their church.

I know what you mean by women's Bible studies. I miss them too....
I could go to the Pentecostal Women's wing or something similar, but I just don't do all the "amens", "praise the Lord"s and other Pentecostal-Charismatic-African things, so I feel a bit like a fish out of water.
Maybe sometime in the future I may go.

And I completely understand the need to be Jody for a few hours, not just mom!

At our last church we had a woman's Sunday school class, and I didn't overly enjoy it. I always felt like I was being examined (as a wife and mother) and that I always came up short. *sigh*
