Just My Blathering's LOL.

The last couple days we have been busy.  We got some gift cards from a family that wanted to help a family have a nice Christmas and our Pastor and his wife thought of us and we were very blessed.  We got them yesterday and I have to say I am in awe.  It was a lot more than I had thought it would be.  So we dropped the boys off at my moms and went Christmas shopping.

We didn't know what all to get the boys so today hubby took them to Toy's R Us so they could pick out some thing for now.  Kind of like early Christmas presents.  Hubby and I also got some new shoes and a couple other things we were needing.  The boys just got new Shoes from Grandma not too long ago so they weren't in need of new shoes.

I am just so thankful that this other family wanted to help us out so the boys could have a good Christmas.  I know the boys would have been happy with the little we had for them and what their Grandma is giving them but it's so nice to give them a little more.  The boys are so loving.  They love their toys and stuff sure but they also love giving and helping others. I so want to be just like them when I grow-up! :).  So to be able to get them some things they wanted makes me so happy!

I remember Chord at three years old helping me go through his toys to give to another family that was having a hard time.  We went through his toys and he gladly gave some  that he didn't play with.  (I remember when I was young I was so not like that.  I was the complete opposite and very selfish if I do say so myself LOL.) then at the age of five he demanded that he use his own birthday money to buy his brother a bike. Even though we had told him we would do that.  So he bought his brother a bike.

Jarod loves to share his toys with others.  He too has gone through his toys to give to another child.  He also give the gift of himself :).  If he see's another child crying he feels their sadness and will do what ever silly thing he can do to make that child feel better!  He has this energy about him that you just have to pay attention to him.  Not in a selfish look at me kind of way but a hey look at me so I can make you smile kind of way.  He seems to have away of commanding peoples attention but at the same time making it about making other's happy and not about himself.  He can sure make people forget about whatever they are worrying about and make them smile if even for just a moment!

Both boys are very compassionate.  I have seen them both cry for someone that was hurt.  I have seen them go to prayer when they know someone is struggling or hurting.  They will defend the little guy if they seem him/her getting picked on.  They will open doors for people and they will comfort the sad.

I can't say that they are that way because of the way hubby and I have raised them.  Sure that might be part of it but it really is who they are.  Of course they have days where they misbehave or fight.  They are human you know LOL.  But I am continually amazed on who they have become and who they are becoming.

All that just to say I feel so blessed to be able to give them a few good presents for Christmas because they truly have it down what Christmas is all about and not just a once a year thing!!  I am a blessed mom to have the boys I do.  They help me grow up a little more and show me what I need to be like :).  So to whoever it was that let us give he boys this I really do want to say Thank You for such a blessing.  I know the boys will be thankful too.  Not just for the  toys but of the thought behind it all.

Sorry if this is incoherent and hard to follow LOL.  I am tired and maybe a little (or a lot) emotional :).  Please forgive me :D.  God Bless everyone and if I don't get on to blog before then I wanted to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!!!!

Talk About Busy and Some News

I know I haven't blogged since last Wednesday but I have been so busy and continue to be so. I feel so tired out but just no time to relax. That's the holidays for you LOL. Thursday, we went to my mom's for Thanksgiving dinner and didn't get home till after nine p.m. and then we went to Harlow's brothers for another Thanksgiving dinner on Friday. Saturday my mom took the boy's and me shopping to get the boys some shoes. It's something she wanted to do. Then Sunday was church of course but also I had to go do grocery shopping since I didn't get a chance to do it on Saturday like I usually do. Today was a MOMS club meeting so not only did I have to start school with the boy's this week after a week off but had to run to the meeting LOL. Tomorrow is laundry day so it's off to the Laundromat plus I have to stop by the store and pick-up a few things afterwards. Then Wednesday I am taking the boy's to Church because they have to rehearse their lines for something they are going to do just before Christmas. The only thing wrong with that is that we only have one car and hubby works afternoons so if I use the car then I have to keep the boy's up to go pick him up at 11:30 p.m. We will see how that works out. So you see just how busy I am LOL. Hopefully I will be able to keep blogging for the next few busy days.

On to some good news. Well it was good news to me LOL. I know this one lady that is in the MOMS Club with me. She isn't a Christian and I know she has been hurt by some so called Christians. She has been on my mind a lot lately so I thought I would personally invite her for the Bible Study we have in our MOMS Club. I let her know that I wasn't trying to push her or convert her to be a Christian or anything but that she had been on my mind and that I thought she could get something out of it. She has been going through some rough times and I just felt God telling me to invite her. Well she is going to come to it!! She actually thanked me for inviting her and she was really touched about me asking her. I was nervous in the beginning because I didn't know how she would take me as we don't really talk a lot. Now I am not blogging about this to boast or anything but I wanted to ask those who read my blog to pray for this woman. Not necessarily to be saved (all though that would be awesome and you can pray for that too LOL) but that she gets the healing she needs from this and maybe continue to come to the Bible Study. I just feel really strongly that God is wanting me to be there for this woman in some way and would love prayer for her and for me too. Thanks!!!

I am thankful

My mom called me today and said she decided to have Thanksgiving dinner at her house on Thanksgiving. Originally she was going to have it sometime during this coming week but it works out better if she has it tomorrow. So that's where we will go tomorrow and then on Friday we go to Harlow's (my hubby) brother and wife's house for a Thanksgiving meal. So anyway I don't know if I will be able to post the next couple day's because we will be busy and I usually don't post during the weekend so I will list what I am thankful for today!

  1. I am thankful to God for giving me the family I have and or the many blessings he has given us.

  2. I am thankful for having family nearby to enjoy the Holidays together.

  3. I am thankful that I have a wonderful husband that supports me in whatever I chose to do.

  4. I am thankful for my boy's. They have brought so much love in my life that I never knew possible. They opened my heart when no one or nothing else could.

  5. I am thankful for the freedom we enjoy because of the people before we were born fought so hard for.

  6. I am thankful for the troops around the world fighting for our freedom even though they are missing out with their families.

  7. I am thankful for the troop's families that are fighting for our freedom for supporting them on this hard journey.

  8. I am thankful for another day to enjoy my life and everyone in it.

  9. I am thankful for all my friends whether in "real life" or the people I know online. For all the support they have given me when I needed it the most.

  10. I am thankful to my mom for always being there for me when I have needed her even if she felt I was wrong.

I have a lot more that I am thankful for but I thought I would list only a few. They are in no particular order but they all come from my heart. My family and I have been through a lot, and maybe sometime I will tell you some of what we have been through, but we have also been very blessed. I wouldn't trade any of our trails for anything because it's brought us to who we are now and I love who we are. It's also led me to some good friends all around the globe. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and hope you have a lot to be thankful for too!!!
