Today was fun. Went to my friends house for a MOMS Club® gathering for us moms to exercise with Shimmy :). My friend has the DVDs too so we just went to her house and danced together. It was a lot of fun. Normally I wouldn't dance in front of everyone but since I do it everyday and it's with friends I was ok with it LOL. Next week I am going back to her house and her and I are going to do it again together.
My friend and I always have a good time when we are together. We are ok with being goofy and silly. Neither one of us cares if people think we are nuts LOL. It's funny that when her and I first met we had some miscommunication so we didn't really talk to each other. We both though the other one didn't like the other. Then one day I was going to call her because I felt in my heart I should reach out to her (a God moment I say LOL) and she ended up calling me before I got a chance too. So we talked and have been friends every since. I am so glad we did because she is a good friend now and we have so much in common.
Ok totally changing the subject but I have another Jarod funny moment to tell LOL. We were watching a rerun of Nanny 911 (Chord actually wanted to watch it LOL) and of course the kids were throwing their fits (on TV not my boys LOL) and I looked over at Jarod and asked. "What if you had kids and they acted like that what would you do?" Jarod without missing a beat says, "I would call 911 and say my kid has gone crazy!" LOL how a six year old comes up with these things I will never know LOL. I hope everyone is having a good week.
Everyday life of a homeschool/Stay at home mom. You never know what you are going to get.

Yesterday Jarod was just too funny. Hubby and I were talking about something (I forget what now LOL) and he called me young lady. Jarod pipped up and said ,"She's not young!!" (me with my mouth hanging open LOL) Harlow: "Should I call her old lady?" Jarod: "No she's not old either." Harlow: "Then what should I call her?" Jarod: " She's a WOMAN!!" LOL so I am neither young nor old. I am a WOMAN!! So remember it LOL!!!
Today was a busy day. I had a board meeting with the MOMS Club®. It was a long meeting and then I had to come home and get the minutes and Calendar for next month all typed up and sent. That with everyday things made it a busy day.
Hubby has decided to go to school for a state certificate to be a diesel mechanic. He will be taking the placement test next Wednesday at nine a.m. So keep him in your prayers that he does well. Then he will take the classes he needs for about a year and then hopefully get a job. Once he's in the job for a while he might go back to school for the degree but we shall see how it all goes. I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Future NASCAR Racers?
Ok so I didn't have much to blog about today. Yesterday just had a headache all day so that's why I didn't blog yesterday. Today not much but laundry at the Laundromat LOL. But I thought I would share a pic with you I took today. Actually I just took it and uploaded it LOL. It's of the boy's of course. All day today they have been playing "NASCAR" The have even donned some of the things they ware LOL. In this pic Jarod is using a play dart shot gun as a jack so he is the Jack guy to change the tired in NASCAR. Chord is using a bat as the gas thing so he says he is the gas can guy LOL. You can't say my kids are not imaginative LOL. They have playing this all day LOL. So they went from being rock stars one day to NASCAR pit crew guys. Hmm the possibilities LOL.
Please excuse the mess LOL.

Today I don't have much to blog about since we didn't do much today. We did go to Meijer's to pick up some package envelopes for hubby. It was pretty funny though as we were walking back to our vehicle and Harlow was asking the boy's where they would like to eat. They both said BK but then hubby said how about KFC? Jarod looks up at him and puts his hand on his chin and says "Hmm, that would be good!" LOL it was just so cute the way he said it. I swear that boy knows how to put a smile on just about any one's face. He doesn't even have to try hard. He is very much the classic class clown LOL.
Yesterday though it was Chord that had me laughing. He and his brother were just goofing around and Chord put his arm around his brother and says "ahh, my funny sibling." LOL. It just sounded so funny coming from an eight year old's mouth. He is always surprising me on how much vocabulary he knows and can use correctly.
In our homeschooling I am trying a bit more hands on and physical things for teaching Jarod. I think he is a visual and Kinesthetic learner. So today we went outside and I drew a line and put the numbers 1-10 on it and had him pick a number and we would either add or subtract so say for instance if he was standing on the number 3 I would make a problem out of it like 3 + 5 =? So he would have to jump on each number till he counted to 5 and he would of course land on the number 8. I am hoping doing things like this will help him learn his math facts a little better.
Chord is a visual and auditory learner. He can see or hear how to do something and he can do it for the most part. Like when he was in first grade I had just told him what multiplying was. I told him it was like saying what is three sets of five equal too and he got it that quick! It wasn't something I really taught him I had just told him about it and he knew how to do it. Even before he learned how to carry over or borrow from. That is just how he learns.
So with each of them I have to teach them differently. They don't learn the same way. So I am trying to find good way's to teach Jarod that he will understand. He really liked the adding on the line thing today. If anyone has more suggestions on how to teach a kinesthetic learner please feel free to give me suggestions LOL.
