I have been doing good with not going some place LOL. But I have to admit I am antsy LOL. The boy's are just fine being at home. I realize it's just my nature to keep busy and having things to do LOL. I am being good though because I know we need to save gas.

I don't know where I get that I need to be up to something from. Growing up we went places sometimes but it wasn't an everyday or even weekly thing. It was just whenever we decided to go do something. My mom was never like that and my dad wasn't like that either. So I have no idea where I get it from.

I just love getting out and about I guess. It's not even about spending money LOL. It just getting out and about. I enjoy having things planned for the boy's to do. I love watching them learn or see something new. But I do know their limits so when I know we have been running around a lot I do slow things down and let them just be at home. Don't get me wrong they love doing the things we do too but they are also happy to just be home sometimes.

Even during our down times the boy's don't really say they are board. They always find something to do whether it's going outside to play with their friends or finding something indoors to do. They have said I am board at times of course because honestly what kid doesn't? LOL. But not as often as you would think. So I must be doing ok in that they don't think they have to go some where to have a good time. Maybe I need to take a lesson from them huh? LOL.

Great post! I go through times when I need to get out and do something, but then I also have those times where I want to close the curtains and live in a cave. I just need home time. My biggest problem lately is over-scheduling myself. Yikes! Take care!

My sister is like that... Very much a social butterfly, and always likes to be out doing something. Staying home as much as I do would drive her batty! *lol* ... But it takes all kinds, huh? :D

Jody,
I'm the opposite. I love staying at home and reading a book or blog hopping. I don't mind rain at all because it's the perfect excuse to stay in!
Now, when I had a car, I got out more. I do love going to see other mothers because it makes me feel less of a failure (mostly). I guess other mothers feel less of a failure when they come to see me at home too! haha

I think one reason I don't go out so much is my children's ages. I have to pack extra clothes in case we have accidents. I have to pack diapers and extra undershirts for the baby, in case she has a blowout in her paper diaper...
Then there's the issue of naptime. the middle one and the baby need a nap. Because we walk or take public transportation, I'd have to make sure we went out and got back before nap was due, etc...
With a car it's easier because they can fall asleep in the car and you aren't dealing with a fussy toddler on the way home.

Maybe it's just a stage...

Oh bla di bla...
